Both this dress and these shoes have truly been Summer go-tos, and one of the perks of sharing them with you towards the end of the season is that they're both majorly on sale right now.
With the slides, they're insanely comfy considering the heel height and they go with EVERYTHING. I regularly wear them with overalls, all sorts of denim, shorts, as well as sundresses like this. I'd say these run TTS; I'm normally a 7.5, sometimes an 8, and I'm a perfect 7.5 in these.
As for the dress, the midi length is so fantastic that I've found myself seeking out other dresses with the same cut; I can sit cross-legged in this dress, bike in it, and wear it on a blustery day and not worry about wardrobe malfunctions. The sheer details add interest and a little sex appeal but never in the way that I have to adjust or keep an eye on. Though the dress looks high-maintenance, it handles the delicates cycle and air dries like a champ. The one con with this dress is that the thread securing the straps to the dress are not exactly designed for wear-and-tear; I bought it at the same time as a girlfriend at an LA boutique and one of her straps broke on the first wear. Anticipating this, I hand-sewed mine more securely—it took me all of 5 minutes—and it has never been an issue. Not only do I get compliments on this dress, I'm regularly asked who it's by and where to get it. That's when you really know people love it.
Thanks for stopping by!
